Sermons
We now have three ways we can deliver the weekly sermons to you. You can either subscribe to our podcast by clicking on the podcast logo above, or stream the messages from the player. If you choose the podcast method, make sure you have a rss player installed.

If you're a member of First Presbyterian Church, and physically unable to attend the Sunday morning worship service due to ongoing health or mobility issues, contact one of your Deacons and they'll get a DVD video of our weekly service sent to you free of charge.

So...what is "Podcasting"?
Podcasting is simply a method of delivering and/or receiving audio content in mp3 format from web sites that offer audio content. Users install a Podcast client program on their local computer and then subscribe to Podcast 'feeds' found at web sites offering audio content. The Podcast client checks the feeds on a regular basis for new content, and when new content is made available it is downloaded to the user's computer automatically. Think Tivo for audio content. For example, a user who subscribes to First Presbyterian's Podcast will automatically receive our content (sermons, songs, classes, audio specials) delivered to their Podcast client whenever we post new audio content.

Ok, that was a decent explanation, but where can I find more info?

What do I need to get started?
You need to download and install a Podcast client. Here are a few available Podcast clients:
Apple iTunes (recommended)
Juice
jPodder
iPodderX (for Macs only)

How do I use iTunes with First Presbyterian's podcast?
Before you begin, make sure you have iTunes 4.9 or later. Any previous version will NOT work. You can download the newest version from apple.com. After you've installed itunes on your computer, go to the main homepage or sermon page @ www.fpcministries.org and click on the podcast logo in the top right corner. Your itunes program will recognize the feed in a few seconds and begin downloading content. If you have any questions, contact Greg Duke.
